Audiobook Production

Produce Your Audiobook Project

You’ve finally done it. The idea that’s been in your mind for so long is now the finished book you hold in your hands … and you are excited!

What’s next? To capture an even larger audience, exploring audiobook production to produce the AUDIOBOOK version is a great (and logical) next step.

Do you know where to start with audiobook production? Whether you’re a first-time author or a veteran writer, it’s absolutely essential to work with an experienced, creative audiobook narrator and producer who knows the ins and outs of the ever-exploding audiobook marketplace.

Welcome to Eric Lee Productions! We handle the entire audiobook production process, from casting the best talent for your project to precisely editing each audio file and uploading the mastered audio to the most popular platforms.

How it Works

We begin by assessing your audiobook production project for genre, audience and projected timeline to completion.

  • Is it fiction or non-fiction? (novel, business book, fantasy adventure, short story, etc.?)
  • Is the setting contemporary or from a different era?
  • Who is the core audience?
  • What is the word count? This helps plan the production time frame.

Kids and grownups all like to hear a good story, especially when it’s told well.  That’s why we work with a variety of expressive narrators who thoroughly understand the nature of your book and who have the talent to make your story vividly come off the pages and into the minds of your audience.

Things to consider …

  • Is your book fiction or non-fiction?
  • Would a male or female narrator be best? What age range?
  • Are there different characters in your book? If so, how many?

Once talent is selected, recording begins.  This can take up to several weeks depending on the book’s length.

Our audiobook production process includes –

  • Content is word-accurate to the original text.
  • Recorded audio matches the publisher’s required technical specifications.
  • An optional, brief music segment can be added to identify each new chapter/segment.
  • Final mastering is then reviewed to ensure the overall sound quality matches industry standards.
  • As the author, you grant final audiobook approval.

Once production is completed and you grant approval, we upload the audio files to the most popular audiobook sites for distribution and sales.

Eric Lee Productions creates engaging audiobooks with rates based on the number of finished hours of audio.  Specifics will be discussed and finalized prior to recording.
